ABOUT

Conservation and Hunting

The S3DA program includes conservation and ethical hunting practices. Throughout the year, Blazin’ Arrows work with the Wisconsin DNR to maintain a food plot and game camera as part of the Snapshot Wisconsin program. These programs get the archers outdoors and contributing to the maintenance of local wildlife and their habitat. Additionally, many of our High School archers also work on individual conservation projects and work towards scholarship opportunities.

A number of member archers choose to participate in hunting activities, typically turkey and deer, utilizing both archery and firearms. Opportunities exist for members new to hunting to get assistance and guidance as they embark on their first hunts.

Our practices continue through the hunting seasons to allow our members to continue working on their skills. During this period practices typically involve equipment adjustments and changes, heavier focus on technique to develop better habits, and more variety in activities to support specific goals.
